A slow ride along Tuttle Creek road which winds through the Alabama Hills.
The Alabama Hills are a formation of stunning rounded rocks and eroded hills set at the base of the jagged peaks of the Sierra Nevada. Both geologic features were shaped by the same uplifting occurring 100 million years ago.
The Alabama Hills was frequently used backdrop for many "westerns", notably John Wayne. The drive to access to Mt. Whitney portal takes you through these hills,
